Industry: Freight Forwarding / Shipping Lines / Logistics – Mandatory

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant with 10+ years of accounting experience and mandatory exposure to the Freight Forwarding, Shipping Line, or Logistics industry. The candidate should be capable of independently managing complete accounting operations, statutory compliance, financial reporting, finalization, and the Accounts team.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

- Manage complete day-to-day accounting and maintain accurate books of accounts.
- Handle sales, purchase, expense, receipt, payment, journal, and adjustment entries.
- Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), customer/vendor ledgers, ageing, outstanding collections, and reconciliations.
- Handle freight/shipping accounting, including shipment-wise revenue, freight income, vendor costs, operational expenses, advances and customer/vendor recoveries.
- Manage GST, TDS, taxation and statutory compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, ITC and TDS returns.
- Handle month-end/year-end closing,



accruals, provisions, depreciation, adjustments, and finalization of accounts.
- Prepare/review P&L;, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, MIS, cash flow, profitability, ageing, and other financial reports.
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, tax/GST consultants, and handle notices, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Lead and supervise the Accounts team, delegate work, review accuracy, and ensure timely completion.
- Train and mentor junior accountants on accounting, taxation, reconciliation, documentation, and ERP processes.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.
- Solid leadership, communication, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and people-management skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, ownership, and accountability.

Mandatory Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant accounting experience.
- Freight Forwarding / Shipping Line / Logistics accounting experience.
- Strong GST, TDS, taxation, reconciliation, finalization, MIS, and audit knowledge.
- Experience handling and training an Accounts team.
- Strong Tally/ERP and MS Excel skills.
