Role Description The SEO Team Lead is a full-time, on-site role based at our Mangaluru office. This role is responsible for owning SEO strategy end-to-end across multiple client accounts, leading and mentoring the SEO team, and driving measurable organic growth in rankings, traffic, leads, and conversions. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing technical SEO (site audits, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, schema), on-page optimisation, link building and digital PR, local SEO and Google Business Profile management, and content strategy aligned with search intent.

The SEO Team Lead acts as the primary SEO point of contact for clients, communicating strategy and results clearly to non-technical stakeholders, and coordinates with content and development teams for implementation.



Additional responsibilities include training the team on advanced techniques and AI tools, preparing performance reports, applying AI Search, AEO, and GEO practices, and staying ahead of search engine algorithm updates and evolving search behavior.

Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on SEO experience with a proven track record of ranking, traffic, and conversion improvements.
- Advanced knowledge of technical, on-page, off-page, local, and content SEO.
- Proven experience in link building, digital PR, and community-driven visibility (including Reddit and forums).
- Expert-level proficiency with SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and GA4.
- Practical working knowledge of AI-powered SEO tools and automation.
- Solid understanding of AI Search, AEO (Answer Engine Optimisation), and GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation).
- Prior experience leading or managing an SEO team, with solid mentoring and people management skills.
- Excellent client communication skills, with the ability to present strategy and results confidently.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills with a results-first approach.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, IT, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Agency experience or experience managing multiple client accounts is a plus.
