- Program Development Design, develop, and implement SAS programs (Enterprise Guide) for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting in accordance with business requirements.
- Data Analysis: Perform statistical analysis and generate reports to provide insights into business performance and trends.
- Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy through rigorous validation and quality control processes.
- Reporting: Create and maintain detailed reports and dashboards for various departments, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial teams.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for SAS programs, processes, and data handling procedures
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve programming issues and data discrepancies efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations and company policies regarding data handling and privacy.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus
- Proven experience as a SAS Programmer(Enterprise Guide), preferably within the insurance or financial services industry
- Proficiency in SAS EG(Enterprise Guide), SAS Macro, and SAS SQL
- Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and report generation
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a quick-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of life insurance products and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with additional programming languages such as R, Python, or SQL.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
