Role Description The Safety Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pimpri Chinchwad. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures across the integrated sugarcane complex to ensure a safe work environment. Daily activities include conducting workplace inspections, identifying hazards, and coordinating corrective actions with operations and maintenance teams.

The Safety

Manager will organize and deliver safety training programs, lead accident and incident investigations, and maintain compliance with relevant occupational health and EHS regulations. The role also involves preparing safety reports,



supporting audits, promoting a culture of safety awareness, and collaborating with management to continuously improve industrial safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in occupational health and industrial safety, with the ability to apply best practices in a manufacturing or processing setting.
- Experience in safety training, including designing and delivering training modules and safety awareness programs to diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) management, including regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and implementation of safety systems.
- Skills in accident investigation, root cause analysis, and development of preventive and corrective action plans.
- Relevant degree or diploma in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of national safety regulations and standards applicable to industrial and agro-processing operations.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and influence safe work practices at all levels.
- Prior experience as a Safety Officer, Safety Manager, or similar role in manufacturing, sugar, or process industries is an advantage.
