ABOUT BILDWELL
Bildwell is a ConstructionTech SaaS platform that helps contractors and construction businesses improve project visibility, BOQ management, quantity and material planning, procurement control, execution discipline and project cost visibility. It connects commercial, technical, procurement and execution workflows so businesses can move from fragmented spreadsheets to structured, data-driven project operations.
THE ROLE
We are looking for a Solution Consultant who understands construction workflows, diagnoses a customer's business problem, turns it into a relevant use case and shows how Bildwell creates measurable business value. This is a consultative pre-sales role, not a scripted product-demo position.
You will discuss drawings, specifications, BOQs, quantities, estimation, materials, procurement, contracts, execution and cost control with contractors, architects, quantity surveyors, procurement teams, project teams and business owners. The objective is to bridge Construction Domain → Business Problem → Technology Solution, and to understand not just what a customer wants, but why a design, quantity or procurement workflow exists and how Bildwell should be applied to it.
QUALIFICATION
Preferred: M.Tech / M.E. in Civil Engineering or M.Arch, with a specialisation in Construction Engineering &
- Management, Construction Technology &
- Management, Quantity Surveying, Contracts &
- Cost Management, Building Engineering &
- Management / Building Technology, Infrastructure Management, Construction Project Management, Construction Economics, Project Planning &
- Controls, Estimation &
- Cost Engineering, Materials &
- Procurement Management, or Architectural Project Management.
B.Tech / B.E. (Civil) or B.Arch candidates with strong experience in Quantity Surveying, Estimation, Contracts, Procurement, Cost Control, Construction Project Management, Design Coordination, Tender Documentation or PMC may also be considered. Technical grounding matters: you must hold credible discussions with construction professionals, not operate as a generic SaaS salesperson.
DOMAIN KNOWLEDGE EXPECTED (several of the following)
- Reading architectural, structural and MEP drawings; quantity take-off from drawings
- BOQ preparation, interpretation, measurement and quantity reconciliation
- Estimation, costing,
rate analysis, budget vs actual quantities
- Specifications and finishing schedules; how design revisions change quantities, materials and cost
- BOQ-to-BOM, material planning, consumption and reconciliation
- Procurement: requisitions, RFQs, quotations, technical and commercial comparison, POs, GRN, inspection, vendor management
- Contracts, tendering, project planning, site execution, progress measurement and contractor bill certification
- Contractor / subcontractor management and project cost control
You need not have worked in every area, but you must learn quickly and stay credible with construction professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand how customers currently manage BOQs, quantities, materials, procurement, execution, subcontractors, progress and cost control, and where the operational or commercial pain sits.
- Work through the chain BOQ → Quantity → Material Requirement → Procurement → Consumption → Progress → Cost, and where it breaks for each customer.
- Build customer-specific use cases and solution narratives from real construction and business requirements.
- Run customised demos and simulations using realistic projects, drawings, BOQs, materials and procurement scenarios that mirror the customer's setting, not generic feature tours.
- Use drawings and specifications to show where quantity leakage and rework begin, from design change through to procurement.
- Translate product capabilities into operational, financial and commercial value: better margins and less leakage.
- Engage founders, CXOs, project heads, architects, QSs, estimators, procurement, commercial and site teams.
- Work with Sales to qualify opportunities, find the real business problem before proposing a solution, and support solution design, proposals and commercial discussions.
- Prepare solution decks, use cases, demo flows, process diagrams and sales collateral.
- Capture customer requirements and gaps in a structured way, including design-to-BOQ and revision-handling needs, and convert them into functional requirements for Product and Engineering.
- Decide whether a requirement is met through configuration, workflow change,
existing functionality or future development.
- Build reusable demo scenarios for civil contracting, interiors, fit-outs, MEP, design & build, turnkey, EPC and other project-based segments.
IDEAL PROFILE
- 3–6 years in SaaS pre-sales, solution consulting, business analysis, product consulting, construction technology, architecture, quantity surveying, estimation, procurement or project management.
- Experience in ConstructionTech, PropTech, Construction ERP, project management software or B2B SaaS is highly valuable.
- Can open a customer's drawing set and BOQ in a discovery call and identify the commercial risk without being walked through it.
- Understands construction terminology, quantity logic and procurement workflows without relying on the customer to explain them.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving ability. Converts a business problem into Problem → Use Case → Workflow → Solution → Demo → Business Value.
- Strong presentation and storytelling skills; can take a design-led or site-led workflow to a mixed room of founders, architects, QSs and procurement and turn it into a business case. Design-presentation experience is an advantage.
- Communicates well with technical and non-technical stakeholders; commercially aware, curious and hands-on.
- Comfortable in a growing product company where solution consulting also feeds product discovery and market intelligence.
WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
Not a role where you walk customers through screens. You are expected to understand: the customer's current process; where the operational or commercial problem is; what design, quantity or procurement logic is involved; how Bildwell addresses it; how to demonstrate it; and what measurable value the customer gets.
SUCCESS IN THE ROLE
Moving the conversation from "Here is what the product does" to "Here is how your current construction, quantity, material or procurement problem can be solved, how the workflow would run in your business, and what value it creates." Over time, you should be able to design a relevant Bildwell solution for a customer's business without the Product team explaining every workflow.
WHY JOIN BILDWELL
Work at the intersection of Construction Domain Expertise + SaaS + Business Consulting + Product Strategy. You will work directly with customers, Sales and Product, and help shape Bildwell's solution-selling methodology, industry use cases and product evolution. Help build the solution-selling engine for a growing ConstructionTech SaaS business.
