: Engineer – Quantity Surveyor

Location: Chembur , Mumbai

Salary: 6Lpa

Reporting To: Project Manager / Senior Management

Function: Civil / Cost Management

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Quantity Surveyor Engineer with proven expertise in high‑rise building construction. The ideal candidate will bring solid analytical skills, cost management expertise, and a deep understanding of civil engineering principles to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Scope & Accountabilities

- Prepare Bar Bending Schedule (BBS), cost estimates, and tender documents for high‑rise projects.
- Conduct quantity take‑offs and material reconciliations.
- Monitor and control project costs, ensuring strict alignment with approved budgets.
- Evaluate contractor claims, variations, and prepare valuation reports.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and site engineers to ensure accurate quantities.
- Verify specifications against drawings and executed work at site, calculate corresponding quantities.




- Ensure compliance with industry standards and contractual obligations.
- Maintain updated records of measurements, contractual documents, progress reports, and cost tracking.
- Support procurement by preparing rate analysis and vendor evaluations.
- Provide technical input during contract negotiations and project execution.
- Check DLR, DLS, Field Book, and all bill‑related documents daily.
- Physically verify quantities executed at site.

Competencies / Key Attributes

- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (CostX, Primavera, or similar).
- Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC or other relevant standards).
- Excellent communication, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently with accuracy and accountability.

Target Profile

- Age: Up to 30 years
- Education: Diploma / Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- Experience: 4–5 years of professional experience in high‑rise building projects
