Job Overview
Jobstoday.world is looking for an experienced QA Automation Tester based in India to join our team remotely.
The ideal candidate will have 7–9+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance , with strong hands-on expertise in automation testing, test framework development, API testing, regression testing, and integration with CI/CD environments.
This is a hands-on position requiring someone who can independently design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test suites while working closely with developers and other stakeholders to ensure reliable and high-quality software releases.
Candidates must be able to work consistently in sync with CET working hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET), Monday through Saturday.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain robust automated test scripts and automation frameworks.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end testing across web applications and related systems.
- Identify suitable test cases for automation and continuously improve automation coverage.
- Develop reusable and maintainable automation components and test utilities.
- Perform API testing and validation using appropriate tools and frameworks.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing practices.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and identify root causes of software defects.
- Log, track, document, and communicate defects clearly with development and product teams.
- Collaborate closely with developers and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test planning,
test case design, and release validation.
- Maintain test documentation, test data, and execution reports.
- Contribute to improving QA processes, automation standards, and overall product quality.
- Support timely releases by ensuring critical functionality is adequately tested before deployment.
Requirements
- Minimum 7–9 years of professional experience in Software QA / Testing.
- Strong hands-on experience in QA Automation Testing and automation framework development.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven experience developing and maintaining automated test suites for web applications.
- Hands-on experience with commonly used automation technologies or frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or equivalent .
- Programming or scripting experience using languages such as Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or equivalent .
- Strong experience with API testing , including tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent.
- Experience with functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git .
- Experience using defect and project tracking tools such as Jira or equivalent.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently investigate automation failures and software defects.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Must be based in India.
- Must be able to work Monday–Saturday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM CET.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing or improving automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with test reporting and monitoring tools.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience with database and SQL validation.
- Exposure to performance or load testing is an advantage.
- Experience working with distributed or international engineering teams.
- Robust understanding of automation best practices, including maintainability, scalability, test reliability, and reducing flaky tests.
What We Are Looking For We are looking for a senior, hands-on QA Automation professional , rather than someone whose recent experience is primarily managerial.
The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of automation activities, working independently in a remote environment, collaborating with technical teams, and maintaining high testing standards in a fast-moving development environment.
Employment Type: Remote
Working Days: Monday – Saturday
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CET
Compensation: USD 50/day
