Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive to manage the procurement of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and fabrication components required for CNC machinery manufacturing.

The candidate will be responsible for identifying vendors, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining purchase records, and ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle the complete purchase cycle from receiving purchase requisitions to material delivery.
- Procure mechanical, electrical, electronic, fabricated, and machining components required for CNC machine manufacturing.
- Purchase items such as motors, drives, controllers, spindles, bearings, linear guides, ball screws, control panels, sensors, cables, cutting tools, fasteners, and consumables.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and manufacturers.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare quotation comparison statements.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial conditions.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders according to approved requirements.
- Follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Coordinate with production, design, quality, stores, service, and accounts teams.
- Ensure purchased materials meet required technical specifications,



drawings, and quality standards.
- Coordinate the inspection and replacement of rejected or defective materials.
- Maintain optimum inventory levels and avoid material shortages or excess stock.
- Monitor pending purchase orders, delayed deliveries, and urgent material requirements.
- Develop alternative vendors to reduce dependency on single suppliers.
- Maintain vendor databases, price lists, purchase records, invoices, and supporting documents.
- Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt records.
- Support cost-reduction and value-engineering initiatives.
- Track changes in material prices, availability, lead times, and market conditions.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and service.
- Prepare weekly and monthly purchase reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s procurement policies and approval processes.

Candidate Requirements

- 4–5 years of purchasing or procurement experience in an engineering or manufacturing company.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in purchasing components for CNC machinery, machine tools, industrial equipment, automation systems, or manufacturing plants is preferred.
- Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, electronic, and fabricated components.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, bills of materials,



and technical specifications.
- Robust knowledge of vendor development, quotation comparison, purchase orders, and inventory coordination.
- Good negotiation, cost-analysis, and vendor-management skills.
- Working knowledge of GST invoices, transportation documents, payment terms, and other commercial documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, email communication, and ERP or inventory-management software.
- Strong follow-up, documentation, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage urgent requirements and multiple purchase orders simultaneously.
- Good communication skills in English and Hindi; knowledge of Gujarati will be an advantage.
- Willingness to visit vendor locations whenever required.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience working with a CNC machine manufacturer, machine-tool company, automation company, or engineering equipment manufacturer.
- Existing supplier network for mechanical, electrical, electronic, fabrication, and machining components.
- Knowledge of local and national sourcing markets.
- Proven ability to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality and delivery standards.

Compensation

Competitive salary based on the candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, negotiation ability, and current compensation.

Pay: ₹35,894.10 - ₹45,196.20 per month
