- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluate patients' emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns.

- Provide individual and family counselling as required.

- Conduct psychological therapy and appropriate behavioural interventions.

- Support patients experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, emotional difficulties, and adjustment problems.

- Provide counselling to patients and their families regarding coping strategies and emotional support.

- Maintain proper and confidential patient records.

- Monitor patients' psychological progress and document treatment outcomes.

- Refer patients to a psychiatrist or other medical specialist when required.

- Coordinate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.





- Participate in multidisciplinary discussions and patient-care planning.

- Provide psychological support to patients with chronic illness, hospitalization-related stress, or difficult life situations.

- Conduct awareness and educational sessions related to mental health when required.

- Handle patient information with strict confidentiality.

- Follow hospital policies, ethical standards, and qualified guidelines.

- Participate in hospital training programs, meetings, and quality-improvement activities.

- Provide emergency psychological support when required and follow the hospital's referral procedures.
