About the Opportunity
EMPBindi International Association is looking for a energetic, field-driven CSV Livelihood Project Officer to lead the on-ground implementation of our Climate Smart Villages Project — an initiative building sustainable, climate-resilient livelihoods across five project villages in Kolar district.
This is more than a coordination role. It's a chance to walk alongside rural communities as they adopt solar-powered enterprises, beekeeping, nursery management, and composting — and to see those efforts grow into real income and lasting change. You'll work at the intersection of grassroots development and creative, climate-smart enterprise, partnering closely with BREADS, Don Bosco ITI, field coordinators, technical vendors, and the wider Bindi team.
If you're passionate about rural livelihoods, enjoy being in the field, and want your work to translate directly into visible impact for families and communities, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Field Presence & Beneficiary Support
- Regularly visit and monitor beneficiaries across the five project villages
- Provide hands-on, post-training handholding for Beekeeping, Nursery, Composting, and other livelihood activities
- Support beneficiary mobilisation and community awareness activities
Asset & Enterprise Support
- Support distribution, installation,
and effective use of solar livelihood equipment
- Track beneficiary asset utilisation, production levels, income generation, and overall progress
- Develop and strengthen market and value-chain linkages to help beneficiary products reach better markets
Coordination & Partnerships
- Coordinate closely with BREADS, Don Bosco ITI, field coordinators, and technical partners
- Support beneficiary coordination for P2P lending activities where required
- Flag field-level challenges early and work with the management team on practical solutions
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain up-to-date beneficiary records, field reports, photographs, and project documentation
- Prepare clear, timely weekly and monthly progress reports against project targets
What We're Looking For
- A graduate degree in Rural Development, Social Work, Agriculture, Business, Development Studies, or a related field
- 2–4 years of experience in rural development, livelihoods, community mobilisation, SHGs, FPOs, agriculture, or the broader social sector
- A solid understanding of rural livelihoods and community-based interventions
- Strong field coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively within project villages and work independently
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, Google Forms/Survey tools, and field reporting
- Kannada language skills are a strong advantage
- Demonstrated skills in value chain development and market linkage building
- Experience in livelihood promotion and enterprise/asset-based income generation models
- Team management and people coordination skills, with the ability to guide field staff and community volunteers
How Success Will Be Measured
- Quality and consistency of beneficiary follow-up and engagement
- Effective utilisation of project assets and equipment
- Progress in livelihood activities and income generation
- Market and value-chain linkages established
- Quality and timeliness of field reporting
- On-time completion of project activities
