Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Project General Manager – Mechanical with 15–20 years of experience in the Steel and Metals industry, having strong end-to-end project execution knowledge across DRI, SMS, Ferro Alloys and Power Plant projects.

The candidate will be responsible for overall mechanical project planning, execution, erection, commissioning and successful project handover, while ensuring adherence to timelines, quality, safety and budget.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage end-to-end mechanical project execution from engineering and procurement support through erection, commissioning and handover.
- Manage multiple projects involving DRI, SMS, Ferro Alloy and Power Plant facilities.
- Prepare and monitor project schedules, milestones, manpower requirements and resource plans.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Contractors, Vendors and Plant Operations teams.
- Review mechanical engineering drawings, equipment specifications, layouts and technical documents.
- Supervise equipment erection, installation, alignment, testing and commissioning.
- Monitor project progress against approved timelines, budgets and quality standards.
- Identify project delays, technical issues and execution risks and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment delivery, erection and commissioning activities.
- Ensure proper installation and commissioning of major mechanical equipment.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and provide MIS/progress reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards,



quality requirements and statutory guidelines during project execution.
- Manage contractors, manpower and site resources effectively.
- Support troubleshooting during erection and commissioning and ensure smooth project start-up.
- Ensure proper documentation, punch-point closure and final project handover.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
