- Supervise and coordinate daily shop floor activities to achieve production targets.
- Monitor production processes and ensure effective utilization of manpower and machinery.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained and minimize defects and rework.
- Implement and enforce safety procedures and maintain a secure working environment.
- Train, guide, and monitor shop floor workers and operators.
- Maintain daily production reports, shift logs, and performance records.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to reduce machine downtime.
- Ensure proper material handling and availability of materials on the shop floor.
- Monitor inventory and minimize material wastage.
- Handle workforce-related issues, absenteeism, and discipline on the shop floor.
- Identify production issues and take corrective actions to improve productivity.
- Support continuous improvement activities such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and Kaizen .
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments for smooth production operations.
