Role Description The Production Chemist is a full-time, on-site position based at Aurore Life Sciences’ manufacturing facility in Hyderabad. This role involves executing and monitoring API production processes, including handling raw materials, intermediates, and final products in accordance with established batch manufacturing records.

The Production

Chemist will perform routine in-process checks, support scale-up activities, coordinate with Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams, and ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and safety standards.



Day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining production equipment, documenting process parameters and deviations, assisting in troubleshooting, and collaborating with R&D; to implement process improvements and optimize yields. The role also requires maintaining a clean, safe work environment and strictly following all regulatory, EHS, and company policies.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience with chemical handling, equipment operation, and protected work practices.
- Candidates should possess analytical skills for monitoring process parameters, interpreting data, and supporting problem-solving during production.
- Candidates should possess quality control and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) skills to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to support process optimization, technology transfer, and scale-up from lab to plant.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in API or pharmaceutical manufacturing, with familiarity in regulatory-audited environments, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to follow SOPs accurately, maintain detailed documentation, and work in shifts as required by production schedules.
- Strong attention to detail, teamwork and communication skills, and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
