1.JOB PURPOSE:

The main purpose of the job is to support the refining of crude palm oil into refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) oil. The production associate ensures efficient plant operations, consistent product quality and strict adherence to safety, hygiene and environmental standards.

2.ESSENTIAL JOB REPOSIBILITIES CORE JOB AREA

Production Operations

-Assist in refining processes including degumming, neutralization, bleaching and deodorization.

-Operate and monitor refinery equipment such as reactors, separators, filters and deodorizer units.

-Support start-up, shutdown and continuous plant operations

Process Control and Monitoring

-Maintain process parameters such as temperature, pressure and flow rates.

-Observe equipment performance and identify abnormalities.

-Take corrective actions or report issues to supervisors.

Quality Assurance

-Ensure refined oil meets required quality standards (RBD oil specifications)

-Assist in sampling and testing procedures.

-Follow hygiene and food safety guidelines.

Equipment Handling and Maintenance

-Handle pumps, centrifuges, heat exchangers and vacuum systems

-Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment.

-Coordinate with maintenance teams for repairs.





Safety and compliance

-Follow all safety procedures and use PPE.

-Maintain a clean and hazard-free work workplace.

-Comply with company policies and industry regulations.

Documentation and Reporting

-Record production data and operational logs.

-Report deviations, breakdowns or quality issues.

-Maintain shift reports and checklists.

Material Handling

-Assist in handling crude palm oil and refined products.

-Support storage, loading and unloading activities.

3.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

-Diploma/ B Tech in mechanical, Chemical engineering

-1-3-year experience in edible oil, refinery or food processing industry.

4.SKILLS / BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES

-Basic knowledge of oil processing and ability to operate industrial machinery.

-Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

-Leadership and team coordination skills.
