About the Role

NeoBulk is looking for a Senior Executive – Post-Fixture Operations & P&I; Claims with 3–5 years of relevant dry bulk shipping experience.

The candidate will be responsible for managing post-fixture activities, vessel operations, documentation, laytime/demurrage matters, P&I; coordination and operational claims from fixture stage through completion of the voyage.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage post-fixture operations for dry bulk vessels from fixture/recap until completion.
- Coordinate with Owners, Charterers, Masters, Agents, Brokers, Surveyors and internal Chartering teams.
- Monitor vessel movements, ETA/ETB/ETC/ETD, loading and discharging operations.
- Follow up on NOR, SOF, cargo documents, port formalities and operational instructions.
- Coordinate with port agents regarding PDA/FDA, cargo readiness, port operations and disbursements.
- Monitor laytime and assist with demurrage/despatch calculations and claims.
- Review SOF and supporting documents for laytime and claims purposes.
- Monitor bunker stems, ROB, bunker consumption and voyage-related requirements.
- Maintain regular vessel position and voyage status updates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant charter-party clauses and operational obligations.
- Identify operational issues and escalate matters requiring management attention.

P&I;, Claims & Legal Coordination
- Coordinate with P&I; Clubs, P&I; correspondents, surveyors and lawyers on vessel and cargo-related matters.
- Assist with cargo claims, shortage, damage, contamination, pollution and other operational claims.




- Handle Letters of Protest and collect relevant supporting documentation.
- Maintain proper records of incidents, claims, correspondence, SOF, survey reports and photographs.
- Assist in handling LOIs, indemnities and contractual documentation.
- Identify potential contractual or legal exposure and promptly escalate to management.
- Coordinate with P&I; and legal representatives during incidents at ports.
- Follow up on claims until resolution and maintain proper claim files.

Requirements

- 3–5 years of experience in dry bulk vessel operations, post-fixture operations or ship operations.
- Experience with Handysize, Handymax, Supramax, Ultramax and/or Panamax vessels preferred.
- Good knowledge of voyage charter operations and charter-party terms.
- Understanding of laytime, demurrage/despatch, NOR, SOF and off-hire.
- Exposure to P&I; claims and maritime legal matters is preferred.
- Experience dealing with Owners, Charterers, Masters, Agents and Surveyors.
- Positive written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple vessels/voyages simultaneously.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Outlook and other MS Office applications.
- Willingness to work outside normal office hours when vessel operations require immediate attention.

Candidates currently working in dry bulk ship operations, post-fixture operations, ship management, chartering operations or P&I;/claims with 3–5 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
