Assistant / Deputy Manager – HR

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Assistant / Deputy Manager – HR to manage end-to-end HR operations at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in plant HR, payroll, statutory compliance, manpower management, employee relations, and labour laws.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage attendance, shift rosters, overtime, and workforce records.
- Handle payroll processing and statutory compliances including PF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, UAN, etc.
- Ensure compliance with Factories Act, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
- Plan and manage manpower requirements in coordination with department heads.
- Handle recruitment, onboarding, induction, and employee documentation.
- Manage contract labour and vendor compliance.
- Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and industrial relations.
- Manage plant welfare activities including canteen, transportation, health check-ups, and employee facilities.
- Maintain employee files, contracts, HR records, and Full & Final (F&F;) documentation.
- Prepare and submit HR MIS and management reports.




- Coordinate labour inspections, audits, and statutory documentation.
- Maintain a positive and productive shop-floor employee environment.
- Handle union relations and workforce-related issues, where applicable.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Plant HR & Industrial Relations.
- Good understanding of labour laws, Factories Act, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in payroll, attendance, manpower planning, and contract labour management.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office / HR MIS.
- Ability to manage a shop-floor workforce in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Industry Candidates with experience in any manufacturing plant are preferred.
