Role Description The Pharmacist will work on-site at the hospital’s Surat location in a part-time capacity, supporting safe and effective medication use for patients. Day-to-day responsibilities include dispensing prescriptions accurately, verifying dosages, and reviewing medication orders for potential interactions or contraindications. The role involves counseling patients and caregivers on proper medication use, side effects, and storage, as well as collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to optimize pharmacotherapy.

The Pharmacist will maintain proper documentation, manage inventory of medicines and supplies, ensure compliance with relevant regulations,



and uphold all hospital policies related to medication safety and quality.

Qualifications

- Formal pharmacy education (Diploma in Pharmacy, B.Pharm, or higher) and a valid registration/license with the appropriate pharmacy council.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, dosage calculations, and prescription interpretation, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience in hospital or clinical pharmacy settings, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and adherence to regulatory standards.
- Effective communication skills for patient counseling and collaboration with multidisciplinary clinical teams, with a focus on clear, empathetic guidance.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures, maintain detailed records, and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and legal requirements.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy or hospital information systems for prescription processing and stock management; basic computer literacy is required.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient-centered care, and continuous learning in new treatments, guidelines, and best practices.
- Availability to work in office in Surat during designated part-time shifts, with reliability and strong time management skills.
