Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Pharmacist role based in Thoothukudi. The Pharmacist will dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions, verify dosages, and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The role includes counseling customers on proper medication use, possible side effects, and drug interactions, while maintaining a customer-focused and ethical practice.

The Pharmacist will manage inventory, monitor stock levels, check expiry dates, and support ordering processes to ensure availability of essential medicines. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining detailed records,



supporting store operations, coordinating with healthcare providers when needed, and contributing to a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, prescription interpretation, and drug interactions, with the ability to provide secure and accurate medication dispensing.
- Skills in patient counseling, clear communication, and customer service to support diverse patient needs in a busy retail environment.
- Competence in inventory control, stock management, and basic documentation to ensure proper handling and tracking of medicines.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, digital records, and basic computer skills to work efficiently with technology-enabled processes.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (D.Pharm or B.Pharm) from a recognized institution and valid registration with the relevant State Pharmacy Council.
- Attention to detail, high ethical standards, and commitment to regulatory compliance, including adherence to standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, collaborate with store teams, and adapt to a fast-paced, customer-facing healthcare retail setting.
- Prior experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage but not mandatory for highly motivated and qualified candidates.
