Role Description The Pastry Chef Instructor is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru South. This role involves planning and delivering pastry and baking classes, demonstrating techniques, and guiding learners through hands-on practice. The instructor will develop lesson plans, standardize recipes, and ensure that teaching materials are clear, accurate, and easy to follow.

Day-to-day tasks include supervising kitchen sessions, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, assessing learner performance, and providing constructive feedback.

Instructor will also support curriculum development, assist with workshops or events,



and help maintain equipment and inventory in the teaching kitchen.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Bakery and Baking, with the ability to teach a range of breads, pastries, desserts, and cakes.
- Proficiency in Food Preparation and Cooking, including ingredient handling, recipe execution, and plating.
- Well-developed Culinary Skills, with expertise in pastry techniques, chocolate work, and decorative finishes.
- Previous experience as a pastry chef, baker, or culinary instructor in a professional kitchen or academy.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and kitchen hygiene practices.
- Ability to explain complex techniques clearly and support diverse learners with patience and professionalism.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills to plan classes and manage multiple batches or courses.
- Relevant culinary certification or diploma; formal pastry training is an advantage.
- Comfort working in an on-site, hands-on teaching environment in Bengaluru South.
