About the Role

LATCHA is a specialty matcha and dessert café with a fast-paced, high-energy service workplace. We're looking for a sharp, customer-first Order Taker for our Hyderabad outlet who can keep up with peak-hour rushes without compromising on accuracy or warmth. This isn't just a billing role — you're the first face a customer sees, the person who guides them through the menu, and the one who makes sure every order goes through correctly and quickly.

Key Responsibilities

Order Taking & POS

- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the PetPooja POS system
- Process dine-in, takeaway, and online aggregator orders without errors during peak hours
- Handle modifications, add-ons, and special requests and communicate them clearly to the bar team
- Process cash and digital payments (UPI, cards) accurately and ensure the billing counter is balanced at end of shift
- Flag POS issues or billing discrepancies to the store manager immediately

Menu Knowledge & Customer Guidance

- Know the full LATCHA menu inside out — every drink, dessert, flavour profile, ingredient, and customisation option
- Actively guide customers through the menu, especially first-time visitors unfamiliar with matcha or Japanese-style café offerings
- Suggest add-ons, pairings, and bestsellers based on customer preference — upselling naturally, not pushy
- Stay updated on seasonal items, limited-edition launches, and out-of-stock items in real time
- Confidently explain ingredients to customers with dietary preferences or allergy questions

Customer Handling & Service





- Greet every customer warmly and create a welcoming first impression at the counter
- Manage queues efficiently during rush hours — keep things moving without making customers feel rushed
- Handle customer complaints, incorrect orders, or wait-time frustrations calmly and professionally
- Coordinate with the bar team on order status and communicate realistic wait times to customers
- Ensure customer satisfaction before they step away from the counter

Counter & Floor Support

- Keep the counter area clean, stocked, and organised throughout the shift
- Restock packaging, straws, napkins, and condiments proactively
- Support the team during high-volume periods by assisting with order calling, tray management, or packaging
- Follow opening and closing counter checklists without supervision

What We're Looking For

- Prior experience with PetPooja POS is mandatory — candidates unfamiliar with the system will not be considered
- 1–2 years of experience in a café, QSR, restaurant, or retail counter role
- Strong communication skills in Telugu and English — Hindi is a plus
- Calm, composed, and quick on your feet during peak hours — the Sattva Knowledge Park location sees high corporate footfall across lunch and evening rushes
- Genuinely good with people — warm, patient, and able to read what a customer needs
- Honest and accurate with cash and billing — zero tolerance for discrepancies
- Menu-curious and enthusiastic about food and beverages — you should actually enjoy talking about the drinks you're selling

Work Details

- Location: Sattva Knowledge Park, Raidurg, Hyderabad
- Shift: Rotational (includes weekends and public holidays)
- Work Days: 6 days a week

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
