About the Firm An India-focused, fundamentals-driven investment manager running a long-term, value-oriented, bottom-up portfolio. SEBI-registered Category III AIF.

Role Summary The Operations Manager will own the end-to-end fund operations, accounting, compliance, and investor onboarding for our SEBI-registered Category III AIF. We seek an entrepreneurial, high-integrity professional capable of managing multiple operational workstreams under pressure. The candidate must demonstrate independent judgment, rigorous attention to detail, and a commitment to operational excellence within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications & Experience

- CA / CS / Finance, Economics, or LLB graduate preferred.
- NISM Series-III C: Securities Intermediaries Compliance (Fund) certification required (or must be obtained).
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience in AIFs, MFs, PMS, or brokerage operations.

• Note: Candidates with exposure only to Cat I/II PE/VC or generic retail banking will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

Operations

- Own all finance, operations, audit and compliance functions across fund entities.
- Build and manage relationships with custodian, RTA, trustee, auditor, lawyers and tax accountants.
- Negotiate with counterparties; hold service providers accountable.




- Oversee internal and external operational and compliance resources.

Compliance Controls

- Ensure strict adherence to SEBI (AIF) Regulations, RBI, Tax and corporate laws; file ad-hoc, monthly, quarterly and annual reports on time.
- Pre-trade and post-trade compliance for Cat III AIF (derivatives, listed/unlisted securities, margin trading).
- Validate waterfall calculations, performance fee structures and high-water mark compliance.
- Secretarial compliance: minutes, resolutions and maintenance of physical/digital archives.
- Monitor fund KPIs, portfolio prices and news; maintain compliance manuals and code of conduct.
- Monitor internal compliance: personal trading, leave of absence and expense policies.

Finance Controls

- Lead periodic closing and reporting; coordinate with auditors and tax accountants; manage SEBI, RBI, GST, Income Tax, ROC and transfer pricing filings.
- Manage payroll, vendor payments, working capital, budgeting and internal MIS.
- Ensure smooth statutory audits and optimum cash management.

Investment Onboarding & Relations
- Own end-to-end investor onboarding, KYC/re-KYC, PMLA compliance and filings jointly with RTA and Custodian.
- Handle investor communication and reporting; respond to queries in coordination with the CIO.
- Manage contribution and redemption processes, unit allotments, and investor statements.
- Assist in fund-level tax planning and support the investment team in deal closings as needed.
