Role & responsibilities

- Manage and troubleshoot L2/L3 switches, VLANs, Trunking, STP/RSTP/MSTP, LACP, Port Channels, ARP, DHCP, DNS, LLDP/CDP, and Layer-2/Layer-3 connectivity issues.

- Configure, monitor, and support Cisco, Aruba/HPE, Meraki, and Quantum switches and wireless access points.

- Administer Sophos XG/XGS Firewalls, including firewall policies, NAT (SNAT/DNAT), routing, VPNs, IPS, web filtering, application control, SSL inspection, and security monitoring.

- Configure and troubleshoot Static Routing, OSPF, BGP, Inter-VLAN Routing, WAN/Internet connectivity, and IPsec VPNs.

- Monitor network and security infrastructure using Syslog, SNMP, network monitoring, and ticketing tools.

- Perform incident, change, and problem management; conduct RCA and coordinate with OEMs, vendors, ISPs, and internal teams for issue resolution.

- Execute switch/firewall configuration backups, firmware upgrades, migrations, installations, and maintenance activities.

- Maintain network diagrams, SOPs,



firewall policies, VPN documentation, and operational reports.

- Support critical incidents, planned maintenance activities, shift operations, and field/customer-site deployments as required.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid knowledge of TCP/IP, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, Routing, OSPF, BGP, NAT, WAN, VPN, and Network Security.

- Hands-on experience with Sophos XG/XGS Firewall and enterprise switching platforms (Cisco, Aruba/HPE, Meraki, Quantum).

- Experience with Firewall Policy Management, IPS/IDS, Web Filtering, Application Control, Security Logging, and Packet Analysis.

- Proficiency in troubleshooting tools such as Ping, Traceroute, CLI, Wireshark, Syslog, and SNMP.

- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

- Sophos Firewall experience is mandatory.
