Job Title: Microbiologist

Salary: SGD 3000-4,000 per month (commensurate with experience; CPF contributions as per statutory requirements)

Experience Required: 1–3 years (or fresh graduates with strong academic background considered)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Microbiologist to join our laboratory team in Singapore. The successful candidate will perform microbiological testing, analysis, and quality control in accordance with Singapore laboratory standards and regulatory requirements (including MOH, HSA, or relevant industry guidelines depending on the sector).

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct routine and specialized microbiological tests on samples (environmental, product, clinical, or food/pharma as applicable).
- Isolate, identify, and characterize microorganisms using standard culture, staining, biochemical, and molecular methods.
- Maintain accurate laboratory records, prepare reports, and ensure data integrity.
- Perform quality control, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Follow Positive Laboratory Practice (GLP), biosafety protocols, and Singapore workplace safety regulations.
- Assist in method validation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of lab processes.




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support internal/external audits as required.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Hands-on experience in a microbiology laboratory preferred; fresh graduates with relevant internships or projects are welcome.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques, media preparation, microbial identification, and basic molecular methods is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Singapore laboratory regulations, biosafety levels, and quality management systems (ISO 17025 or equivalent) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, good analytical and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a regulated environment.
- Singaporean / Singapore PR preferred; Employment Pass / S Pass holders may be considered subject to MOM guidelines and company sponsorship policy.
