Job Summary

Microservices API Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript, with Azure-based deployment and API management.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices using Node.js and TypeScript.

- Build API-first solutions using REST standards and OpenAPI specifications.

- Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

- Publish, secure, and manage APIs using Azure API Management (APIM).

- Integrate backend services with internal and external systems using synchronous and asynchronous patterns.

- Implement authentication and authorization using OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Azure AD.

- Ensure high code quality through testing, reviews, and CI/CD automation.

- Implement logging, monitoring, and tracing using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.

- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, and architecture teams.

Requirements

- Robust experience with Node.js and TypeScript for backend development.

- Experience designing and building microservices and RESTful APIs.

- Hands-on experience with Azure services, especially AKS, API Management, and Key Vault.

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes concepts.

- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.





- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

- Understanding of API security best practices and OWASP guidelines.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Experience with NextJS or similar Node.js frameworks.

- Event-driven architectures using Azure Service Bus or Event Hubs.

- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, or Grafana.

- Experience with performance tuning and scalability in cloud environments.

Education

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience Requirements

- 6-8 years of hands-on backend development experience with Node.js and TypeScript.

- Experience building and operating microservices and REST APIs in production.

- Practical exposure to Azure, AKS, and Azure API Management.

- Good understanding of Docker, Kubernetes basics, and CI/CD pipelines.

- Ability to work independently on features and contribute to design discussions.
