About The Role The Medical Manager role within P&G;’s Research &
- Development organization offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the medical and scientific excellence of P&G; Health India. Based in Mumbai, this position is integral to supporting the company's therapeutic areas through strategic medical affairs activities. The role involves designing and executing medical strategies that ensure compliance, foster credible scientific engagement, and support the business objectives. As a key member of the medical function, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Research, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Sales to ensure that medical insights and scientific communications are aligned with corporate standards and industry regulations.
You will be responsible for engaging with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and healthcare organizations to promote credible scientific exchange and support medical education initiatives. The role demands a medically qualified professional with strong scientific acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Your contributions will directly influence product development, evidence generation, lifecycle management, and the overall medical strategy of P&G; Health India.
Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a medical degree or an equivalent medical/scientific qualification. A minimum of 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in medical affairs,
medical communications, or scientific roles within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is preferred. Candidates should demonstrate a strong foundation in clinical practice, scientific data interpretation, and medical governance.
Experience in supporting medical education, claims review, and evidence generation activities will be highly regarded.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the medical affairs plan for the assigned therapeutic area, ensuring alignment with business priorities and medical strategy.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current clinical practices, treatment trends, competitive therapies, and relevant scientific literature to inform medical activities.
- Gather, assess, and communicate medical and scientific insights accurately and compliantly to internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Review and support the substantiation of scientific claims, promotional and non-promotional materials, and medical communications to ensure scientific accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Provide medical input throughout the product lifecycle, including product development, evidence generation, lifecycle management, and registration support for new products or indications.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Research, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Sales teams to support business objectives with sound medical judgment.
- Engage in credible, non-promotional scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals, KOLs, and HCOs, supporting medical education initiatives such as CMEs, advisory boards, and scientific symposia.
- Identify emerging medical insights, unmet needs, and local market feedback to aid strategic planning and product positioning.
- Support medical information activities, including responses to scientific inquiries and dissemination of medical data.
- Contribute to evidence-generation initiatives, publication planning, scientific presentations, and regulatory documentation in compliance with SOPs and local regulations.
- Deliver technical and scientific training to internal teams, including field forces and cross-functional partners, to enhance medical knowledge and compliance.
- Ensure all activities adhere to company policies, medical governance standards, local regulations, and industry best practices, including compliant HCP engagement.
