We are looking for a skilled Mastercam Programmer with experience in CNC/VMC programming and machining. The candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying CNC programs using Mastercam and supporting production machining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify CNC/VMC programs using Mastercam.
- Generate toolpaths based on 2D drawings and 3D models.
- Prepare programs for milling and machining operations.
- Select suitable cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Generate and verify G-code programs.
- Understand engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
- Optimize toolpaths for machining efficiency and surface finish.
- Support CNC/VMC machine setters and operators.
- Troubleshoot programming and machining-related issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of CNC programs.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Mastercam.
- Knowledge of CNC/VMC programming.
- Understanding of G-code and M-code.
- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as vernier and micrometer.
- Experience with Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi controllers is an advantage.
- Knowledge of 2D/3D CAD models is preferred.
Qualification
- ITI – Machinist / Turner / Fitter or related trade
- Diploma – Mechanical / Production / Manufacturing or related discipline
- BE/B.Tech Mechanical candidates with relevant Mastercam knowledge may also apply.
Experience : 0–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
Candidates with strong Mastercam knowledge and suitable technical skills may also be considered based on their practical ability.
