Role & responsibilities

- Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant electrical systems and machinery.

- Troubleshoot electrical faults in EPDM extrusion, rubber mixing, moulding, cutting, and other production equipment.

- Maintain and troubleshoot MCC, PCC, control panels, motors, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, relays, contactors, and electrical circuits.

- Attend machine breakdowns and ensure quick restoration with minimum production downtime.

- Conduct routine inspection of motors, panels, cables, electrical connections, heaters, and control systems.

- Carry out electrical testing including insulation resistance, continuity, and earthing checks.

- Support machine installation, commissioning, electrical modifications, and improvement projects.

- Troubleshoot basic PLC, HMI, VFD, servo, sensor, and automation-related issues.

- Maintain electrical systems for compressors, chillers, pumps, DG sets, HVAC, STP, lighting, and other utilities.

- Implement and maintain LOTO, electrical safety, PPE, and protected maintenance practices.

- Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, breakdown reports,



machine history, and electrical records.

- Identify recurring failures and conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.

- Monitor electrical energy consumption and support energy-saving initiatives.

- Maintain adequate stock of critical electrical spare parts and coordinate with suppliers/OEMs.

- Support 5S, EHS, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and internal/external audit requirements.

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to improve machine availability and reliability.

- Willingness to work in shift operations and emergency breakdown situations

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / ITI / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

- 28 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in automotive, rubber, plastics, or manufacturing industries.

- Hands-on experience in EPDM extrusion, rubber mixing, moulding, or similar production machinery is preferred.
