Key Responsibilities

- Hand loads parts and/or material, hand feed tools as required

- Inspects parts during production using various types of gaging devices such as comparators, hand mikes, plug and depth gages, makes machine and tooling adjustments necessary to maintain print specifications

- Resharpens and replaces tools, rakes chips, sands face, adds coolant

- Performs miscellaneous related duties, such as clerical recording, material handling, and maintains cleanliness of machines and work area

- Locates work piece and positions piece in machine and transfers finished piece from machine to shipping & receiving

- Performs straight and taper turning, boring, threading, facing, drilling, tapping, reaming, plugging and mill work, , to the required dimensional specifications and tolerances

- Remove chips from machine

- Operates Lathe Machine to the appropriate specifications in conjunction with design and fabrication/assembly requirements

- Operates Iron Worker to notch and punch a variety of metals





- Operates band saw to cut angles, pipes, tubing’s and hss

- Turning / Taper Turning in conventional(manual) machine.

- Job setting / Turning

- Handle & Measure dimensions using Precision instruments like micrometer up to 500 mm.

- Read and understand engineering drawings

- Threading/ boring

- Tool post grinding

PROFILE

Must have Qualifications

Undergraduate or ITI turner Preferred to have a person with experience of working on heavy lathe machine Experience:

· 4 to 6 years of experience. Preferred to have worked in heavy engineering industry. Competencies:-

Behavioral · Awareness on QMS · Knowledge of tools, equipment’s and materials related to heavy manufacturing · Drawing Reading · Knowledge of working on Lathe machine tools & equipment’s Special Requirements:
