– Head / Director, Strategic Sourcing & Procurement Location

Role Overview

We are looking for a senior procurement leader to drive strategic sourcing, category management, supplier development, cost optimization and procurement transformation across industrial/B2B categories.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead strategic sourcing and category management across key procurement categories.
- Develop and execute category strategies, sourcing plans and supplier strategies.
- Drive cost reduction, value engineering, TCO and should-cost initiatives.
- Manage supplier negotiations, contracts, commercial terms and long-term partnerships.
- Improve supplier performance, quality, delivery and risk management.
- Drive working-capital improvement and DPO enhancement.
- Develop supplier commercial programs including rebates/TOR/TOD.
- Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, localization and alternate sourcing.
- Lead RFQ/RFP/RFI processes, e-auctions and competitive bidding.
- Build and manage high-performing procurement/category teams.
- Use digital procurement, automation,



analytics and AI-enabled tools to improve sourcing productivity.
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
- Establish procurement KPIs and track savings, productivity, supplier performance and working capital.

Candidate Profile
- 12+ years of relevant procurement/sourcing experience.
- 4–5+ years of team leadership or category/P&L; ownership.
- Experience in industrial, B2B, manufacturing, MRO, procurement-tech or new-age companies preferred.
- Strong commercial negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Proven track record of 5–10% year-on-year savings/value improvement preferred.
- Robust understanding of TCO, should-cost, VAVE and cost benchmarking.
- Experience with procurement technology/ERP platforms and digital transformation.
- Engineering/Supply Chain qualification preferred; MBA is an advantage.
