Job Summary

As a Lead Engineer - ETL Testing, you will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and Cloud platforms. You will focus on data validation, transformation testing, and quality assurance of data products.

Responsibilities

- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test data for data pipelines.

- Validate ETL/ELT processes, including data mapping, transformations, and SCD models.

- Validate Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) and business transformation rules.

- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and integrity checks using SQL.

- Validate Snowflake data pipelines, tables, views, and transformations.

- Develop Python scripts for test automation and data validation.

- Experience analyzing ETL mapping documents

- Perform source-to-target data reconciliation using SQL and DataGaps.

- Manage defect lifecycle (logging, triage, resolution, and verification)

- Create and execute strategies and test cases for applications that use ETL components.

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Healthcare SMEs.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide regular status updates.

Educational Qualifications

- Engineering Degree - BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.

- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.





- Snowflake or Healthcare domain certifications are a plus

Skills

Mandatory Technical Skills:

- Hands on experience in ETL/Data Warehouse testing and data validation

- Expertise in Snowflake and advanced SQL Queries

- Robust SQL expertise (complex queries, joins, aggregations)

- Hands-on experience in Cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure/AWS/GCP

- Python scripting for test automation or data validation

- Experience in data pipeline tools (ADF, Informatica)

- Knowledge of BI/report testing (Power BI, Tableau)

- Understanding of data models, SCD concepts, and data transformations

- Experience in test case design, execution, and defect management

- Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and data validation

- Familiarity with tools like Jira/Azure DevOps

- Strong analytical and communication skills

- Healthcare Domain Expertise (Mandatory)

Good to Have Skills:

- Exposure to healthcare domain, data governance, or compliance

- Experience in automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines

- Experience in HIPAA-compliant data testing environments is preferred
