Role Description The Junior BIW Fixture Design Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru North. This role involves assisting in the design and development of BIW (Body-in-White) fixtures for automotive applications, including concept design, 3D modeling, and detailing in CAD tools under the guidance of senior engineers.

Day-to-day tasks include preparing fixture layouts and 2D drawings, updating design documentation, supporting design reviews,



and coordinating with manufacturing and simulation teams to ensure feasibility and quality. The engineer will help perform basic design checks, implement feedback from customers, and support modifications to meet functional, safety, and cost requirements. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, adherence to project timelines, and maintaining organized design data are key aspects of this role.

Qualifications

- Core engineering knowledge in Mechanical Engineering and Design Engineering relevant to BIW fixture and automotive applications.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling and 2D drafting of fixtures and components.
- Understanding of Product Design principles, including manufacturability, tolerance, and basic structural considerations.
- Exposure to Electrical Engineering concepts beneficial for working with integrated systems and harness interfaces.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, standards, and customer specifications.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior team members.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment in Bengaluru North.
