Job Overview

Olive Ayurveda Hospital is looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and responsible Junior Ayurvedic Doctor to join our medical team.

The selected candidate will assist in patient consultations, clinical assessments, treatment planning, follow-up care, and day-to-day medical coordination under the guidance of senior Ayurvedic doctors.

The role requires good clinical knowledge, effective patient communication, professional conduct, and a genuine interest in providing quality Ayurvedic healthcare.

Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Consultation & Clinical Support

- Attend to patients visiting the hospital and understand their health concerns.
- Take detailed patient history and record relevant clinical information.
- Assist senior doctors during patient consultations when required.
- Conduct preliminary patient assessments as per hospital protocols.
- Explain prescribed Ayurvedic treatments and procedures to patients in a clear and professional manner.
- Monitor patient progress during the course of treatment.
- Conduct follow-up consultations as assigned.
- Identify changes in patient condition and report them promptly to the senior doctor.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of consultation and treatment details.

Ayurvedic Treatment Coordination
- Coordinate with the therapy team regarding prescribed treatments.
- Ensure that treatment instructions provided by the doctor are properly communicated to therapists.
- Monitor patients during therapies and report any concerns to the concerned senior doctor.
- Ensure that patients receive treatments according to the prescribed schedule and instructions.
- Follow up on patient responses to treatment.
- Assist in maintaining proper treatment records.

In-Patient (IP) Care
- Attend to IP patients and monitor their general condition.
- Conduct regular rounds as assigned.
- Maintain accurate IP case records and treatment notes.
- Coordinate with nursing, therapy, pharmacy, and administrative teams regarding patient requirements.
- Immediately report significant changes or concerns to the senior medical authority.
- Assist in ensuring continuity of patient care throughout the admission period.

Patient Education & Counselling
- Explain Ayurvedic treatment procedures and general health-related instructions to patients.
- Provide appropriate guidance regarding diet, lifestyle, daily routines, and treatment-related precautions based on the senior doctor's advice.




- Communicate with patients and their attendants in a polite, patient, and reassuring manner.
- Address routine patient queries and refer clinical questions requiring senior medical opinion to the appropriate doctor.

Documentation & Medical Records
- Maintain accurate patient case sheets and consultation records.
- Update treatment and follow-up information regularly.
- Maintain proper documentation of IP and OP patients.
- Ensure that medical records are complete and organized.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow hospital protocols for documentation and record keeping.

Pharmacy & Medicine Coordination
- Coordinate with the pharmacy regarding prescriptions and medicine requirements.
- Ensure prescriptions and medicine-related instructions are properly communicated.
- Clarify routine medicine-related queries within the scope of the doctor's instructions.
- Coordinate with the concerned senior doctor whenever clarification is required.

Team Coordination

Work closely with

- Nursing Staff
- Pharmacy Team
- Reception / Patient Coordination Team
- Administration
- Accounts and other hospital departments

Maintain professional communication and ensure smooth coordination between the medical and operational teams.

Additional Responsibilities

- Participate in hospital medical activities and health programs when required.
- Assist senior doctors in special consultations, camps, and patient programs.
- Support the hospital in maintaining quality standards and patient-care protocols.
- Participate in internal meetings and training programs.
- Stay updated with hospital procedures and treatment protocols.
- Take responsibility for assigned patients and follow-ups.
- Perform other medical and administrative duties related to patient care as assigned by the senior doctor or management.

Required Qualification
- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the appropriate State/National Ayurvedic medical regulatory authority, as applicable.
- Candidates awaiting or completing registration may be considered subject to applicable requirements.

Preferred Experience
- Fresh BAMS graduates are welcome to apply.




- 1–3 years of experience in an Ayurveda hospital, clinic, wellness centre, or similar healthcare setting will be an advantage.
- Experience in OP/IP patient management and Ayurvedic therapies is preferred.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Ayurvedic principles and clinical practice.
- Good patient assessment and communication skills.
- Good understanding of Ayurvedic medicines and therapies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and their attendants.
- Good Malayalam and English communication skills.
- Hindi or other Indian languages will be an added advantage.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors and other healthcare professionals.
- Responsible and disciplined approach to patient care.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
- Willingness to learn and follow the hospital's clinical protocols.
