Your Role

As a Java Backend Developer, you will be a key member of our engineering team, responsible for designing and building robust, scalable backend systems and cloud-native solutions. In this role you will play a key role in:

- Designing and developing high-performance backend services and REST APIs using Java 8+ and Spring Boot, following best coding practices and microservices architecture principles
- Building and integrating cloud-native and serverless solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, SNS/SQS,



CloudWatch, and IAM
- Writing efficient and optimised SQL, JPQL, and HQL queries and working with both relational and NoSQL databases to ensure data integrity and performance
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end backend solutions, from design through deployment, monitoring, and maintenance on AWS
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI, and managing source code effectively using Git
- Supporting containerisation efforts using Docker and contributing to the continuous improvement of development processes and engineering standards

Your Profile We are looking for a technically strong and collaborative engineer who is passionate about building scalable systems. The ideal candidate will bring:
- 69 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java 8+, with strong knowledge of Java features such as Streams, Lambdas, and Optional
- Solid experience building microservices and REST APIs using Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA, with a good understanding of distributed systems design
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, API Gateway, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch,



with the ability to deploy, monitor, and maintain applications on AWS
- Strong experience writing SQL/JPQL/HQL queries and working with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes, Git-based workflows, and optionally containerisation tools like Docker
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in Agile team environments
