We are looking for talented Interior Designers who are excited to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven design environment and grow with the company.

About the Role:

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and adaptable Interior Designer with 2–3 years of professional experience to join our design team in Bengaluru.

You will be responsible for taking residential interior projects from the initial brief through design development and revisions. You will work closely with project requirements, furniture and decor selections, layouts, colors, materials, and 3D visualizations to create complete interior design solutions.

This role requires someone who is versatile, highly organized, comfortable handling multiple projects, and willing to work from the office.

The position will initially be offered as a 3-month contract. At the end of the contract period, performance will be evaluated, and based on the evaluation, the designer will be eligible for consideration for a full-time position with Spacejoy.

Key Responsibilities:

Interior Design

- Understand client requirements, lifestyle, preferences, budget, and design expectations.
- Develop complete interior design concepts for residential spaces.
- Create functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture layouts.
- Select furniture, decor, lighting, rugs, artwork, accessories, and other design elements.
- Develop cohesive color palettes, materials, finishes, and styling concepts.
- Ensure proper scale, proportion, balance, and functionality within each space.
- Create realistic and visually appealing 3D interior designs and presentations.
- Make design revisions based on client feedback and project requirements.

Project Management

- Manage multiple interior design projects simultaneously.
- Complete projects within defined timelines and quality standards.




- Understand project briefs and translate them into accurate design solutions.
- Maintain consistency and attention to detail throughout the project.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Adapt quickly to changes in project requirements and client feedback.

Product & Design

- Research and select furniture and decor that complement the overall design.
- Work with product catalogs and shoppable products.
- Ensure selected products meet the required style, dimensions, functionality, and budget.
- Create designs that balance aesthetics, functionality, and commercial considerations.

Collaboration

- Work closely with designers, project managers, and other internal teams.
- Participate in design discussions and team reviews.
- Communicate design decisions clearly.
- Be open to feedback and continuously improve design quality.
- Follow Spacejoy's design processes, guidelines, and quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 2–3 years of professional experience in Interior Design.
- Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential interior design.
- Good knowledge of furniture, decor, materials, finishes, colors, and lighting.
- Strong understanding of space planning and furniture proportions.
- Ability to read and understand floor plans and room dimensions.
- Strong design visualization and presentation skills.
- Experience with interior design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, or equivalent AI tools or applications.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Good understanding of current interior design trends.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- Must be willing to work from the office in Bengaluru.
- Must be flexible with project requirements, timelines, and design styles.

Compensation & Contract Structure:

3-Month Initial Contract The selected candidate will initially join Spacejoy on a 3-month contract.

Compensation will be project-based, with each completed project paying:

₹2,000 – ₹3,000 per project The exact compensation per project will depend on the scope, size, and complexity of the project.

Potential Monthly Earning





Since the role is project-based, your monthly earnings will depend on the number, complexity, and successful completion of projects assigned to you.

A designer completing around 10 projects in a month could earn approximately ₹20,000 to ₹30,000. With around 15 projects, the potential earnings could be ₹30,000 to ₹45,000, while designers handling around 20 projects could potentially earn ₹40,000 to ₹60,000 per month.

With higher project volumes, there is potential to earn ₹60,000 or more per month, depending on project availability, project complexity, productivity, and successful completion.

Performance Evaluation & Full-Time Opportunity:

The initial 3-month contract will serve as an evaluation period.

At the end of the three months, performance will be reviewed based on:

- Number of projects successfully completed
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Design accuracy and attention to detail
- Client requirements and feedback

Based on the evaluation, the designer will be eligible for consideration for a full-time position.
