Company Description NEXIS School of Business is East India’s first industry-led business school, founded by alumni of SRCC, ISB, IIT Bombay, and IIM Bangalore to prepare future leaders through real-world, experiential learning. Guided by the philosophy of “Learn by Doing,” NEXIS focuses on application-based education where execution, adaptability, and innovation are central. The school offers a 3-year undergraduate program in Business Management with internships, industry projects, and specializations in Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Family Business.

Role Description The Head of Events internship role is an in office position based in Siliguri, responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing academic and promotional events for NEXIS School of Business. The intern will manage event calendars, liaise with faculty, industry partners, and vendors, and ensure smooth logistics for workshops, seminars, student activities, and outreach events. Day-to-day tasks include developing event concepts aligned with the school’s experiential learning philosophy, creating timelines,
overseeing budgets, coordinating marketing materials, and tracking attendance and feedback.
The Head of Events will collaborate with admissions and marketing teams to support brand visibility, manage guest speakers, and maintain high-quality participant experiences. This internship offers hands-on exposure to event management in an educational setting and the opportunity to contribute to NEXIS’s growing community.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills for coordinating with students, faculty, partners, and vendors.
- Candidates should possess Event Planning and Event Management skills for designing, organizing, and executing on-site events.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting skills to plan and monitor event costs and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Candidates should possess Sales skills to support event-related outreach, sponsorships, and participant engagement.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and comfort working in a rapid-paced setting.
- Experience in college festivals, student clubs, or prior event coordination is an advantage; current students or recent graduates in business, marketing, communications, or related fields are encouraged to apply.
