Job Title: Head- IT & Digital, R&D;

Location: Jaipur/ Gurugram

Job Purpose: This role is IT and Digital technology lead for Hero MotoCorp partnering with R&D; function. The lead is responsible for technology roadmap, vision and tech delivery (including design, build and deployment) of all initiatives related to R&D.; The Head of IT Research & Development (R&D;) plays a crucial role in shaping the future of the organization's technology landscape.

This responsible for spearheading the exploration, development, and implementation of cutting-edge IT solutions that drive business growth and maintain a competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

Most significant responsibilities of the job along with key activities required to accomplish them:

Strategic Leadership:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT R&D; roadmap aligned with the organization's overall business strategy and objectives.
- Identify emerging technologies and market trends, assess their potential impact, and formulate strategies for their adoption.
- Lead the prioritization and allocation of resources for IT R&D; projects.

Innovation & Research:

- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the IT R&D; team.
- Conduct research and explore new technologies, including cloud computing, artificial intelligence, automation, and other relevant domain by working with Center Of Excellence as needed .
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges, and translate them into actionable R&D; projects.

Project Management and Delivery :

- Drive the entire IT R&D; project lifecycle, from ideation to implementation and post-launch evaluation.




- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
- Mitigate risks and ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions.

Team Management:

- Build and lead a high-performing IT R&D; team with diverse expertise and skillsets.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members to facilitate their career development.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team.

Production Support and Continuous Improvement

- Provide direction and oversight for the production support team, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of production issues.
- Collaborate with the production support team to identify areas for improvement and develop innovative solutions to optimize production processes and infrastructure
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT processes, capabilities, and performance within the R&D; division.

Communication & Collaboration:

- Effectively communicate the vision, strategies, and progress of IT R&D; initiatives to various stakeholders, including senior management, business units, and technical teams.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure successful integration of new technologies and solutions

Vendor Management:





- Evaluate and select third-party vendors and service providers for infrastructure-related products and services. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and oversee vendor performance.

Academic Qualification: B. Tech, MBA Preferred.

Technical Skills/Knowledge

- Strong technical background and expertise on R&D; IT
- Minimum 6-8 Years’ experience partnering R&D; organization from IT
- Experience in working and deploying in PLM, Team Centre, Siemens systems, Dassault systems Catia, High Power Computing and other R&D; Applications
- Experience in Cloud migration projects
- Proficiency in project management is essential for to plan, execute, and manage infrastructure projects effectively.
- Strong understanding of emerging technologies and their potential business applications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to think strategically, manage projects effectively, and foster a culture of innovation.
