Job Responsibilities:

- Provide first and second line Front Office application support (not infrastructure support) for several systems in trading domain

- Diagnose and resolve day-to-day live system incidents across a range of systems.

- Take ownership of Major Incident management and associated Problem Management process.

- Ensure systems are in a healthy status and proactively identify patterns that can cause issues in future.

- Liaise with development teams for escalations and hand-overs.

- Maintain an up-to-date documentation of support processes.

- Prepare operational stats to identify problematic areas in the systems and work towards improving systems.

- Should be flexible with work timings (India and UK hours) along with providing on-call support on rotation basis.

Required Experience:

- Must have evident systems analysis skills ideally garnered within an energy, commodity or similar trading workplace.





- Around 8-10 years of experience on Front Office application support role responsible for critical production applications.

- Must be able to write mid level SQL

- Must have written intermediate level scripting to automate support tasks and to make system improvements

- Must have experience managing incidents and service requests while providing timely status updates to business users.

- Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Must have a good understanding of technology to be able to add value in maintenance/scripting and system and process improvements in general.

- Must have general understanding of software engineering and related technologies
