About RiNVENT

RiNVENT Industries Pvt. Ltd., founded in 2015, is an Indian OEM building smart-grid automation products for power distribution utilities. We supply and commission SCADA/LDMS systems, RTUs, FRTUs, data concentrator units, fault passage indicators, and transformer monitoring units for state DISCOMs. These systems communicate over IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, and Modbus, across MPLS-VPN and cellular networks.

The Role

You'll join our Substation Automation team as a trainee. You'll learn to automate 33/11 kV substations end to end: wiring and configuring field devices, testing communication with the control centre, and handing over a working system to the utility. Most of the learning happens in our lab and at live substations, alongside experienced engineers.

What You'll Do

- Assist in installing, wiring, and commissioning RTUs, FRTUs, DCUs, transducers, and communication equipment in substations
- Check panel wiring, terminations, and I/O signals: digital inputs, digital outputs, analog inputs, CT/PT secondaries
- Configure field devices and communication links: Ethernet, RS-232/485, 4G/APN, MPLS-VPN
- Prepare point lists, perform point-to-point checks between the field and the control centre, and test IEC 104 / Modbus communication
- Support factory acceptance tests (FAT), site acceptance tests (SAT), and utility inspections
- Maintain test records, commissioning checklists, and daily site reports




- Troubleshoot communication and device issues during commissioning and maintenance
- Travel to substations and utility offices across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

Who Should Apply

- 2026 pass-outs only, with one of:
- Diploma in EEE / ECE / CSE
- B.E./B.Tech in EEE / ECE / CSE
- B.Sc. in Electronics / Computers
- Basic knowledge of electrical and electronic fundamentals: circuits, measurements, wiring, use of multimeters
- Basic computer and networking skills: IP addressing, LAN setup, MS Excel
- Willingness to do hands-on field work in substations and to travel regularly
- Two-wheeler with a valid driving licence preferred
- Explicit communication in Telugu and English

Good to Have

- Final-year project or internship in substations, PLC/SCADA, IoT, embedded systems, or networking
- Familiarity with protection relays, energy meters, or RTUs
- Exposure to Modbus, IEC 104, or IEC 61850
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices in substations
