Alfred Scholar

Bengaluru

Company Description Alfred Scholar is a unified research workspace built for scholars who want to focus on thinking rather than managing multiple tools. It consolidates reading, citations, plagiarism checks, writing, and AI-assisted research into a single platform, with every AI-generated answer clearly page-cited and transparently sourced.

Features such as chat across PDFs, keyword monitoring, citation management, manuscript checks, and voice dictation help researchers work more efficiently and accurately. Alfred supports individual scholars, labs, and institutions through scalable plans, and is already used at multiple universities in India. The platform is designed with strong data privacy principles, ensuring that user data is never sold, mined, or used to train AI.

Role Description As a Founder's Office Intern at Alfred Scholar, you will support the founders across product, operations, and growth initiatives in a fast-paced research technology startup. On a day-to-day basis, you may help conduct market and user research, analyze product usage data, prepare reports and presentations, and assist with project coordination across engineering, product, and customer teams.

You will contribute to content and communication tasks such as drafting emails, internal documents, and investor or partner updates,

as well as assisting with user onboarding and support. This is an internship role based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with versatile work-from-home days.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical and research abilities, including gathering data, synthesizing insights, and presenting findings clearly.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for internal documentation, user communication, and stakeholder updates.
- Organizational and project coordination skills, including task tracking, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Comfort with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Google Workspace, spreadsheets, task management tools) and willingness to learn new software quickly.
- Interest in research workflows, academic technology, or AI-powered tools, with a user-centric mindset.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and collaborate in a small, cross-functional team.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in any discipline; backgrounds in engineering, design, business, or social sciences are welcome.
- Prior internship or project experience in startups, product management, operations, or strategy is an advantage but not required.
