Forward Deployed Engineer, AI

About the role

Route Mobile, part of the Proximus Group, is a global leader in business communications. Our AI platform powers intelligent agents on WhatsApp, voice and other messaging channels for large enterprises.

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers and our sales team. You will design, build and launch AI agents that solve real business problems, then keep improving them once they are live. This is an engineering role on the customer's side of the table: you will write code, take part in customer conversations, and own the result.

What you will do

- Build and deploy AI agents (30%): design conversation flows and prompts, connect agents to customer systems through APIs, and take them live on WhatsApp, voice and web.
- Support deals with demos and discovery (20%): join customer meetings with Sellers and Solution Engineers, understand the problem, and build demos that show how our AI solves it.
- Measure and improve (15%): test agents before release, review real conversations, and fix what does not work.
- Turn use cases into business value (15%): work out the measurable outcome for each customer, such as cost per contact, conversion or time saved, and help build the business case.
- Specialise by industry (10%):



develop reusable use cases and building blocks for our focus industries, with the Product team.
- Feed back to Product and share what you learn (10%): report what customers ask for and where the platform falls short, and help train the sales team on what our AI can do.

What we are looking for

- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Recent graduates are welcome. You will go through our structured onboarding and technical training programme.
- Experienced candidates: 2+ years building software, ideally in a customer-facing, solutions or sales engineering role.
- Comfortable writing code (Python preferred) and working with APIs.
- Genuine interest in large language models and conversational AI. Projects you have built count for a lot.
- Explicit communicator who enjoys working directly with customers.
- Full professional English, written and spoken.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per month
