VirtuEdge Group has openings for FINANCE AND SUSTAINABILITY INTERNS who will be onboarded after pre-induction training by experienced mentors, empowered and engaged to support the finance team and sustainability initiatives.

The posts are either full-time, on-site roles at the Group's Tivandrum Centre of Excellence [CoE], or in flexible hybrid and contractual mode, depending on an applicant's status, the main course pursued if any, or job priorities and their suitability for the challenging ESG and other projects.

Relevant certification with a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Sustainability, or a related field, with general awareness of public interest and challenges and continuing professional learning initiatives, is preferred.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Finance Internship or consulting roles include maintaining Tally and similar Accounting systems, preparing Financial and Management reports, analysing financial statements, supporting accounting and MIS activities, performing tax and regulatory compliance filing and monitoring tasks, and maintaining accurate financial records and assisting Assurance teams in audits and reviews.

ESG Internship or consultancy roles will help track and report sustainability metrics, contribute to data collection and basic impact assessments, and assist in preparing presentations and reports for identifying, measuring and monitoring sustainability performance in accordance with disclosures made in sustainability reporting [S.R.] under applicable standards and regulations.

The ESG role also involves conducting research on best practices in the implementation of S.R. for MSMEs, sustainable finance, collaborating with internal stakeholders to gather information, and communicating findings clearly in written and verbal form. Interns will work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure compliance with internal policies and support continuous improvement in both financial and sustainability processes.

Pre-Induction Program: 2 Months | 30 Virtual Sessions & Weekend Workshops (Free or as discounted for deserving candidates, at management's sole discretion)

Role & Career Roadmap:

Phase 1: Pre-Induction & Capacity Building (2 Months)

Complete 30 virtual sessions and hands-on weekend workshops covering global standards: IFRS S1 & S2, UN DRR, ISQM1, GRI, SASB, GHG Accounting, ISOs, SBTi, and UN SDGs.

Master workflows around Double Materiality, BRSR reporting, Scope 3 emissions accounting, and ESG due diligence.

Phase 2: Probation & Certification Coordination

Upon successful evaluation, transition into active probation with a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 – ₹15,000.

Serve as Project Coordinators for VEPF certification and upskilling programs, managing candidate cohorts and program logistics. You can also be actively involved in the financial sector as a marketing executive.

Phase 3: Client Engagement & Consultancy

Step into client-facing advisory as an Associate ESG Consultant, Auditor, or Retained Staff.

Conduct ESG assessments, sustainability audits, and governance frameworks for MSME value chain partners and enterprise clients.
