Job Summary

House of Shibaah is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Fashion Designer with a strong interest in bridal wear and customised couture. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of fashion, fabrics, silhouettes, embellishments, and garment construction, along with the ability to understand and translate clients' ideas into elegant designs.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop bridal wear and customised couture based on client requirements.
- Meet and interact with clients to understand their preferences, requirements, and expectations.
- Create design concepts, sketches, mood boards, and garment specifications.
- Suggest suitable fabrics, colours, silhouettes, embellishments, and finishing details.
- Develop customised designs while maintaining the brand's aesthetic and quality standards.
- Coordinate with tailors, pattern makers, embroiderers, and other production teams to execute designs accurately.
- Make design modifications and alterations based on client feedback.
- Follow current fashion and bridal wear trends while developing fresh and original concepts.
- Ensure attention to detail throughout the design and production process.
- Assist with fittings and ensure the final garment matches the approved design.




- Maintain proper records of designs, measurements, client requirements, and customisation details.
- Ensure projects are completed within the agreed timelines.

Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Prior experience in bridal wear designing and customisation preferred.
- Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, embellishments, and fashion trends.
- Good sketching and design development skills.
- Excellent communication and client-handling skills.
- Creative mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into practical designs.
- Ability to work independently as well as coordinate effectively with the production team.

Experience 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.

Freshers with strong fashion design skills and a positive portfolio may also be considered.
