Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end freight forwarding activities for import and export shipments (Air, Sea, and Road).
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, transporters, and shipping lines to ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Handle domestic logistics operations, including transportation planning, route optimization, and vendor management.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation and logistics issues.
- Manage project logistics activities, including movement of oversized, heavy-lift, and time-critical cargo.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, invoices, customs-related documents, and transportation records.
- Negotiate freight rates and transportation contracts to achieve cost savings.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, customs, and company regulations.
- Track logistics KPIs and prepare periodic MIS reports.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, production, and project teams for seamless material movement.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance logistics efficiency and reduce costs.

Preferred candidate profile





- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain
- Certification in Logistics, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain Management will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 5-10 years of experience in freight forwarding, domestic logistics, and project cargo handling.
- Hands-on experience in managing import/export shipments and coordinating with freight forwarders and customs agents.
- Experience in handling project logistics for industrial equipment, machinery, or large-scale projects will be preferred.
