We are currently hiring for an exciting chance for the position of Purchase Manager with a leading manufacturing organization in the commercial refrigeration and engineering industry.

Position Details

Position: Purchase Manager
Location: Asangaon, Thane, Maharashtra
Department: Supply Chain / Procurement
Reporting To: Director
Experience: 3–5 Years

Role Overview

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing procurement activities, vendor development, inventory coordination, import procurement, documentation, and ensuring the uninterrupted availability of quality raw materials for production.

Key Responsibilities
Manage procurement of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per production requirements.
Identify, evaluate, and develop recent suppliers.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
Monitor vendor performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.




Coordinate with Stores and Production to ensure optimum inventory levels and uninterrupted material availability.
Ensure accurate purchase and inventory transactions in the ERP system.
Coordinate with Quality for material inspection, rejection, replacement, and corrective actions.
Manage import/export documentation and coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, transporters, and logistics partners.
Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, contracts, and supplier documentation.
Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, alternate vendors, and value engineering.
Monitor material price trends and support procurement budget control.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and statutory requirements.

Candidate Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management or Operations will be an added advantage.
