Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate all public relations activities and with stake holders including authors, wholesalers and distributors
• Leverage existing media relationships and cultivate recent contacts within business and industry media
• Manage media inquiries and interview requests
• Create content for press releases, by line articles and keynote presentations
• Evaluate opportunities for partnerships, sponsorships and advertising on an on-going basis.
• Build relationships with thought leaders to grow industry awareness
• Develop media relations strategy, seeking high-level placements in print, broadcast and online media

What You’ll Need to succeed in this role

• Must be a confident communicator and presenter
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills




• Must possess excellent organizational and planning skills
• Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail
• Strong relationship building with industry media outlets
• Good writing and editing skills
• Event planning experience is a plus
• BA/MA degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or a related discipline is a plus
