Company Description
TaapSense is a deep-tech startup developing PDA (Polydiacetylene)-based smart visual indicators that convert temperature exposure into visible color changes. Our technology is aimed at applications across pharmaceuticals, vaccines, food, diagnostics, and temperature-sensitive supply chains, enabling simple, reliable, and scalable monitoring of product integrity.

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role based in Mandi. The candidate will lead R&D; on PDA-based smart visual indicators, focusing on polymer chemistry, material formulation, characterization, and optimization of temperature-responsive systems. The role involves hands-on laboratory research, prototype development, troubleshooting, and contributing to TaapSense’s scientific roadmap and technology commercialization.

Qualifications
• Proficiency in Laboratory Skills, including experimental design, execution,



and safety protocols
• Experience in Research and Development (R&D;) with a strong focus on innovative solutions
• Expertise in Materials Science, including knowledge of material properties and applications
• Strong understanding of Polymers and their performance characteristics
• Solid foundation in Physics with practical applications in material behavior
• Proven ability to solve complex problems and guide teams in achieving technical milestones
• Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in startups or entrepreneurial ventures is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
