Your role and responsibilities
In this role, we are looking for an experienced and skilled R&D; Team Lead to oversee the design, development, validation, and lifecycle management of Low Voltage Switchgear products. The selected candidate will provide technical and people leadership to a team of engineers, lead innovation, ensure project execution, and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

The role will support for the ABB India Ltd for Electrification Smart Buildings Business to be based at Nelamangala, BANGALORE, India.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Manage end-to-end development of LV switchgear products from concept to commercialization, ensuring timely delivery, quality, validation, and certification.
Manage R&D; project plans, resources, risks, budgets, and milestones while ensuring effective engineering change and product lifecycle management.
Lead and mentor R&D; engineers and designers, building technical capabilities and improving solid team performance.
Implement cost reduction, value engineering, benchmarking, innovation, and technology roadmaps to enhance product competitiveness.
Manage customer and stakeholder relationships while delivering measurable outcomes in on-time project execution, product quality, certification, cost optimization, and innovation.
