Job Description:

A Junior Accountant is an entry-level position in accounting, responsible for supporting senior accountants in various financial tasks and maintaining accurate financial records. They handle daily transactions, prepare financial statements, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Key responsibilities include data entry, accounts payable and receivable management, bank reconciliations, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:
Data Entry and Record Keeping:

Junior accountants are responsible for accurately recording financial transactions in ledgers and other accounting systems.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:

They manage invoices, payments, and collections, ensuring timely processing of transactions and maintaining accurate records of accounts payable and receivable.
Bank Reconciliations:

They reconcile bank statements with company records, identifying and resolving discrepancies to ensure accuracy.
Financial Statement Preparation:





They assist in the preparation of various financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
Payroll Processing:

They may assist with processing payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employee salaries.
Assisting Senior Accountants:

They provide support to senior accountants in various tasks, including financial analysis, reporting, and audit preparation.
Compliance:

They ensure that all financial activities comply with relevant accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
Other Accounting Tasks:
