The Anaesthesia Technician assists the anesthesiologist in preparing and administering anesthesia. The role ensures proper functioning of anesthesia equipment, patient monitoring, and maintaining safety standards before, during, and after procedures.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and check anaesthesia machines and equipment
- Ensure availability of oxygen, ventilators, and emergency drugs
- Assist anesthesiologist during induction, intubation, and recovery
- Monitor patient vital signs during procedures
- Maintain sterility and infection control protocols
- Clean, disinfect, and maintain anesthesia equipment
- Keep records of anesthesia usage and patient monitoring
- Handle emergency situations effectively

Skills Required

- Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and procedures
- Basic understanding of pharmacology (anesthesia drugs)
- Patient monitoring skills

Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Anaesthesia Technology

Experience

1-5years in hospital OT/ICU.
