Job Title: Shuttering Carpenter

1. Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to carry out formwork and shuttering activities for RCC structures. The candidate will be responsible for installing, aligning, supporting, and removing formwork for concrete elements while ensuring dimensional accuracy, quality workmanship, and compliance with site safety procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Execute shuttering and formwork activities as per approved structural drawings and site instructions.
- Carry out formwork for columns, beams, slabs, foundations, footings, staircases, and retaining walls.
- Install plywood, timber, steel formwork, and modular shuttering systems as required.
- Ensure proper line, level, alignment, dimensions, and verticality of shuttering.
- Fix props, supports, bracing, tie rods, clamps, and other formwork accessories securely.
- Check formwork stability and tightness to prevent concrete leakage during pouring.
- Apply approved shuttering oil or release agents before concreting.
- Coordinate with steel fixers, masons, foremen, and site engineers before concrete pouring.
- Assist in checking shuttering readiness before inspection and concrete placement.
- Carry out safe removal of formwork and supports in accordance with approved procedures and site instructions.
- Clean, repair, and maintain shuttering materials for reuse.
- Minimize wastage and damage to plywood, timber, and formwork accessories.
- Follow approved drawings,



construction methods, and quality requirements.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and protected storage of tools and materials.
- Use appropriate PPE and follow work-at-height and other applicable safety procedures.
- Report damaged materials, alignment issues, and site constraints to the Civil Foreman or Site Engineer.

3. Educational Qualifications

- ITI in Carpentry or relevant trade qualification preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience in construction shuttering and formwork may be considered.

4. Required Skills

- Practical knowledge of RCC shuttering and formwork.
- Ability to understand basic structural drawings and dimensions.
- Knowledge of column, beam, slab, footing, and staircase formwork.
- Experience with plywood, timber, steel, or modular formwork systems.
- Ability to use carpentry tools and measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of line, level, alignment, and formwork supports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow site instructions.

5. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Accuracy of formwork dimensions and alignment.
- Quality of shuttering and concrete finish.
- Timely completion of assigned work.
- Reduction in formwork material wastage and damage.
- Compliance with safety procedures.
- Reduction in concrete leakage and shuttering-related defects.

6. Preferred Experience

- Experience in residential, commercial, and high-rise building projects.
- Practical experience in conventional and modular shuttering systems.
- Experience in slab, beam, column, foundation, and staircase formwork.
- Ability to coordinate with Civil Foremen and Site Engineers.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
